Features and characters of the individual

This tree grows inconspicuously next to another hornbeam in a wooded area crossed by the Promenade Verte (the Green Promenade) in the Woluwe-Saint-Lambert area. Walkers are more likely to notice this pair of trees in the autumn when their foliage turns yellow. Their bark, roots and trunks look almost like they have been sculpted.
