Features and characters of the individual

This tree is firmly anchored in the ground with its large base. However, it does not seem to be that still at all. From the base, its trunk winds around slightly on its axis, as do its three winding main branches. The deep grooves of its grey/brown bark go along with this curved movement towards the sky. This spiral trajectory is often found in chestnut trees, and it can make them seem like they are vividly animated.
